On August 16th,Metaphor: ReFantaziotosses inan exclusive conversation eventwith obtainable rewards while the party journeys aboard the Gauntlet Runner toward Virga Island. OnSeptember 6th, it happens again; this time, however, the scenes are more in-depth, the character choices have expanded, and there’s a bit more genuine individuality to the rewards.

Our guide to the 9/6 festival event in Metaphor: ReFantazio will provide you with the details on every choice so that you needn’t view them all. More importantly, perhaps, it will let you know which one-time weapon you’ll get from each candidate for the protagonist’s company.

Eupha and the Metaphor: ReFantazio protagonist at the Eht Ria effigy.

Every attainable weaponrestores a small amount of MP per battle, which makes them pretty handy during lengthy dungeon explorations. They each have320 ATK and 95 HIT.

Who Should You Choose?

There are no wrong answers, of course. And, as noted above, you get a weapon regardless, and all with similar setups. That said, there are two methods of deciding, we’ve found.

The first is, simply, whose scene are you most interested in viewing? It’s “flavor text”, but then, if you’re playing a mammoth JRPG like Metaphor: ReFantazio, you’re probably at least slightly interested in its character writing.

The protagonist on a stroll with Strohl in Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

The other approach is more pragmatic:which character’s native Archetype do you most wish to obtain a weapon for?Strohl’s sword is for the Warrior; Hulkenberg’s lance is for the Knight; so on, so forth.

Strohl

Strohl finds himself terrifiedof how many people in Euchronia must bepraying for safety. After all, he feels a burden of responsibility over their protection. Things get all the more serious when he describesa recurring dream in which Louis kills them all.

When he asks the protagonist what he wishes for,you may comfort him by praying for either the country or everyone’s safety, since he remarks that the good captain has a habit of making prayers come true.

Hulkenberg and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Warrior

Hulkenberg

Hulkenbergisclearlystill inebriated from the Dragon’s Tears. She does aneerily spot-on impression of Strohl, realizes how drunk she got, andorders the protagonist, as a member of the royal court, to forget this happened. It’s quite funny, indeed.

After washing her face off, Hulkenberg returns, and the pair commit to their prayer. She’llhave the protagonist guess what she asked for; if you tell her she prayed foreveryone’s safety, she’ll admire his astuteness, reflecting on how much she’s changed.

Heismay and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Knight

Heismay

The effects of the Dragon’s Tears have leftpoor Heismay crying; emotions got the better of him as well. He regrets partaking of the beverage out of embarrassment, though heoffers to share drinks with the protagonist once he’s grown up a bit more.

Heismay isn’t much for prayers to gods, butdenotes that it would be rude not to share the customs of the islanders. He cleverly decides topray to the Archetypesinstead, however.

Junah and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Thief

Junah

Junah, without any prelude, flirts with the protagonist. She wonders what will happen when he “finds that special someone”, and straight-up saysthey’ll be competition of hers.

As amusing as that all is, things get more introspective just before the prayer, whenJunah says she has nothing against praying, but prefers to “take action rather than leave it in someone else’s hands.”

Eupha and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Right on back to lighthearted, though, when shedemurs that the paper won’t be big enough for all her wishes.

Masked Dancer

Eupha

Eupha, like Junah, isquite a flirtin her scene. Unlike Junah, though, she’spositively aloof about it, apologizing profusely along the way.

And, while we’re still on the subject of Junah, poorEupha dons her mustari mask because Junah warned her that her smile is “enough to knock everyone out.“Eupha’s prayer sceneprovides deeper context for the origins of the ritual, which is all quite lovely.

Gallica and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Metaphor: ReFantazio, unlike Persona, lacks player-chosen romances. This scene, though? you’re able to play it quite romantically, so if you’re hankering for that missing element, we recommend Eupha’s scene!

Summoner

Gallica

Gallicaalways delights in admiring thenatural beauties of the world, and her turn of phrases in her sequence are no exception. She also, quite abruptly, and shockingly early into the scene, asks the protagonist to define God.

There’s a scientific element to Gallica’s musings, as sheponders how to achieve happiness for all, then contemplates thatit might be impossible to quantify such a thing. During the build-up to the prayer,Gallica wishes that everyone’s anxiety can be replaced by hope.

Neuras and the protagonist at Eht Ria in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Mage

Neuras

Neurasgets a chance to discusshow much he loves drawingas he gazes upon the spectacular scene before them. Thinking about how he’s gotten to take the Gauntlet Runner for quite the spin, hethanks the protagonist for making a dream come true.

The genius inventorwants to pray that he might one day take to the sky, but harbors a sliver of guilt for making such a selfish wish relative to what the protagonist will surely decide upon. Give himthe go-ahead to make that prayer, anyway.
