When it was revealedthat Bray Wyatt, AKA Windham Lawrence Rotunda, had passed away in August 2023, it sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling industry. For one, Wyatt was only 36 years old. Unfortunately, Wyatt suffered a heart attack as a result of a bout with COVID. That return never happened. It was later revealedin a documentary that Wyatt had planned an elaborate return to the ring, featuring an elaborate costume that only the genius of Rotunda could envision.

The Fiend Lives On In WWE 2K24

As first revealed on live TV, and later shared online on Twitter, the “Becoming Immortal” version of Bray Wyatt will make its way to the game extremely soon.

At the moment, it’s unclear just how the character will be introduced. That’s because WWE 2K24 has had a very strange pattern when it comes to DLC wrestlers. There is a traditional Season Pass, along witha Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade pack, as well as"Persona" cards that can only be unlocked in MyFaction via in-real-life purchases, in-game currency or grinding, the latter of which has drawn the ire of fans.

That said, it’s entirely possible the “Becoming Immortal” Bray Wyatt is deployed similarly to the Bad Bunny character pack from last year’s game. The “Bad Bunny Bonus Pack” ran players $9.99 and was a separate purchase. Either way, it’s awesome to see WWE, 2K and everyone involved honor the legacy left behind by Wyatt.
