Summary
Lego released an X-Jet setto accompany the release of X-Men ‘97 on Disney Plus earlier this year, and with it came rumors that the mansion Charles Xavier and his mutants call home would be joining it. Months laterleaked images of that rumored set found their way online, and with just two weeks to go until we can actually buy it, Lego has finally confirmed the mansion is real along with how much it’ll cost.
The listing for the Lego X-Mansion still isn’t live, but official images have been shared on social media. Turns out the leaked images were accurate, but there’s nothing like seeing them in high resolution from the official source. There are also a lot more of them now that Lego has caved and decided to show off the images itself, some of which show how you will be able to take the mansion apart once the set is complete so you and your Minifigures can explore its interior.
Not only can the X-Mansion be split into three sections, but each of those sections can then be split into three even smaller sections. Makes sense since as good as the mansion looks from the outside, with so many Minifigures included with the set, and so many easter eggs from the show to find, you’ll want to explore the inside of the little Lego building too.
Lego Provides An Official Look At Its Upcoming X-Men ‘97 Set
Recreate The Highs And Lows Of 2024’s Best Show In Lego
I say little, while the mansion is a fair bit smaller than the real animated thing, it’s still one ofMarvel’s bigger Lego sets. 3,093 pieces, to be exact, so not quite as impressive aslast year’s gargantuan Avengers Tower, but still a lot of building ahead of you if you plan on picking this one up. As for the Minifigures, Lego’s official images have provided a better look at those too. There are ten of them in thereincluding the likes of Wolverine, Gambit, and Storm, all made to look like Lego versions of the way they appear in X-Men ‘97.
Now we get to the bad part - the price. A Marvel-licensed set with all those pieces and ten individual Minifigures, this set was always going to be expensive.$329.99 and available to buy from the Lego store starting from May 07, 2025. The final nail in an expensive year for those of us who can’t resist expensive merch tied to X-Men ‘97. Arcade1Up releaseda cabinet loaded with classic Marvel gamesearlier this year, and Stern followed up witha $7,000 pinball machine. I love X-Men, but that last one might be a bit of a stretch.
