Summary
Xbox announced some unpopular changes to Game Passover the summer, and one of the biggest changes is now upon us. What was already a somewhat confusing tier system was given a shake-up asthe Game Pass For Console option was removedand now only those with an active subscription to that tier can keep it. Its replacement,Game Pass Standard, is available starting todaythough, and there are ways in which it’s better than Game Pass For Console, but also ways that it’s worse.
Game Pass Standard Is An Option Starting Today
Or Pick A Different Tier If Standard Isn’t Doing It For You
Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass is now split into four different tiers, each of them offering different perks and advantages. Ultimate, Standard, PC, and Core.
Game Pass Core is also still availableand costs just $9.99 per month, but naturally comes with even less than the Standard tier. You still get online multiplayer access, but the games available to you are limited to just 25 rather than the hundreds you can play right now if you have any of the other tiers. That includes the aforementioned PC Game Pass tier which remains the best deal of all.$11.99 per month and you still get day one releases.
