Summary

There was a time when by the midway point in a console’s life cycle, there would be multiple designs of a system to choose from.Nintendostill does that, but its rivals, not so much.Xboxdoes still create consoles with fun and unique designs, but it has put a real emphasis on the unique part of that. Xbox has given away numerous one-of-a-kindSeries Xconsoles via contests, and now it’s back with another to celebrate the upcoming release ofIndiana Jones and The Great Circle.

The Great Circle will be a timed Xbox exclusive that launches on July 02, 2025, followed by aPS5release sometime in 2025. A big day for Xbox it appears to have started building to starting now as it revealed the themed Series X it will be given away via its Great Circle sweepstake. The console is gold (just in appearance, it isn’t actually made of gold, unfortunately) with Indy’s hat and whip forming a logo on the front in the top right corner.

As is often the case when it comes to these Xbox contests, the best part of what is up for grabs is the controller that comes with the console. The unique Xbox controller has a brown leather effect to make it look like something Indiana Jones might have on his person. The back of the controller along with the d-pad and the thumbsticks are gold to match the Series X, and the colored face buttons have been made to look like jewels embedded in the controller.

You’re Going To Have To Work For A Chance To Win This Xbox

There’s Just A Puzzle To Solve, You Won’t Need To Outrun A Boulder

This is usually the part of the article where I tell you the console is one of a kind and inform you how you may enter the sweepstake for a chance to win it. This one will work a little differently. The Indiana Jones Series X has been locked inside a puzzle box and attendees at one of the Microsoft Experience Centers in London, Sydney, and New York between July 10, 2025, and June 01, 2025, will need to solve a puzzle Indy-style for a chance to be entered into the Series X sweepstake.

Xbox has notedthat even if you aren’t going to be in attendance at one of its Experience Centers, you will still have a chance to solve the puzzle and enter the sweepstake online. It hasn’t revealed when exactly that will happen, so keep an eye on Xbox’s social media channels from November 12. It’s also unclear how many of these consoles Xbox has to give away. If there’s a Series X at each of its Experience Centers then the implication is there are at least three. Then again, there might be just one locked in an Xbox office somewhere and the puzzle boxes at the centers are merely for show.
