It turns out thatCastlevania,Mega Man,Metal GearandMarvel vs. Capcomaren’t the only kinds of games that areworthy of a master collection. Because, in case you missed it,Konami is cooking up a collection of retro Yu-Gi-Oh! titles.

Officially titledYu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, the compilation, which will be available onNintendo SwitchandPC, bundles together a litany of previousYu-Gi-Oh!games from throughout the series' history, but is largely focused onGame Boytitles, including titles that never made it past Japan.

Over 10 “early” video games from the “very early days of Dueling” have been announced to be part of the collection, and little by little the full compilation has slowly been revealed.Late Sunday, an additional three titles were revealed, helping boost the current slate to five titles.

Retro Duels On The Nintendo Switch Just Feel Right

According to a release from Konami, which was then picked up by Gematsu, as well asTwitter user Wario64, the following titles will be part of the launch collection:

Those three join the already announced:

Duel Monsters 4 was never released in English, while Duel Monsters 6 went by a different name entirely on its release. It’s unclear what the remaining five-plus titles will be.

There is obviously no shortage of handheld titles, but it would certainly be a real treat to see the likes ofForbidden Memories and Duelists of the Roses be part of the collection. Those two are by far the most well-known titles among casual fans, though with Switch being the only console announced, that could be tricky from an emulation standpoint.

Either way, it’s exciting to see these handheld titles be given a second life. More so, given how complex the current Yu-Gi-Oh! game has gotten over the years, it’ll be nice to return to the roots of it all.
